As a professional peer mentorship program, Xducate aims to help children receive quality supplementary education, in order to make the best of their education, and help them seek extensive sources of support from their peers and mentors. Through this platform, different professionals from different sectors will be able to provide direct guidance to communities with underprivileged youth. Students will also have the opportunity to have access to personal mentorship in one-on-one meetings with people who are experienced in their fields of interest.Â
For this, Xducate seeks to train a cluster of peer-mentors and train them thoroughly using an original comprehensive training manual, which covers aspects of effective mentorship. After training the peer mentors, they shall be put in touch with mentees from underserved communities, to offer personalized guidance and support. Additionally, we also seek to conduct a survey among the mentees to gauge their career aspirations, in order to tailor support for their preferred professions.
This shall be followed with the development of original knowledge resources that outline resources and roadmaps for a variety of career paths, such as law or civil service, based on the preferred goals of the students. Additionally, we seek to collaborate with experts from various fields to offer the mentees real-world knowledge of how to succeed in their chosen careers, through an exploration of opportunities and practical advice. In the end, the project intends to help with internship placements for professional networking and work experience. At our core, we believe all youth deserve access to broader opportunities, enabling them to become their best selves.
